Hi there,
Thanks for popping by, I wanted to share with you some projects I've created recently & a few especially for this blog post. At Stampin' Up! we get to go to events for training, achievements & creating with upcoming new products. As part of the event demonstrators get picked to either be display stampers or showcase on the stage what is new as well as tips for the rest of us demonstrators. So, I thought I would put myself forward to be a display stamper, I've created 3 card fronts, 2 3-d projects & a scrapbook page.
The first I'm going to show you is this lovely card using the Pop of Petals stamp set:
I stamped the flowers in Melon Mambo & Blueberry Bushel ink, these were punched out with the Four-Petal Flower & I then cut off one of the petals on one of the flowers. The Garden Impressions paper stack is so versatile I used just a 2" strip & adhered it to a piece of Blueberry Bushel card stock. I stamped the birthday sentiment with the Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set onto Calypso Coral card stock & punched it out with the 2" circle punch.
Continuing with the Pop of Petals stamp set I created these bookmarks with the lovely flowers:
I used Grapefruit Grove card stock & stamped the flower in Melon Mambo & punched with the Four-Petal Flower. I also punched out some vellum, designer series paper (dsp) flowers as well as two 1" circles out of a scrap piece of card stock. I used a glue gun & adhered the circles onto the giant paperclip. I then assembled the flowers by layering vellum, dsp, vellum & the stamped image. On the back I just did vellum & the stamped image. I finished the front of the bookmark off with a gold/silver faceted gem.
I love taking pictures on my phone & enjoy choosing which pictures to get printed off so I can make scrapbooking pages. Last year I went on a pasta making workshop at a local cooking school & here is one of the pages I created:
The Orchid Builder framelits came in very handy to make pasta shapes, all I did was use both the 2 petal shape orchid dies, I then gently pinched them together to create the pasta shape. To make the strands of pasta I used the waves die that is in the Swirly Scribbles thinlit dies & just cut the relevant strands I required. Remember you can check out some of my other scrapbooking pages, by visiting the rest of my blog.
I've made a card that has a more autumnal feel to it & I hope you enjoy it:
This card is handy to have for either my female or male friends as it is very gender neutral. I used Soft Suede ink for the tree trunk, Mango Melody & Merry Merlot for the leaves, Shaded Spruce for the grass - which I've also done 2nd generation stamping with. The bike image I've used Merry Merlot for the frame & Smoke Slate for the rest. I've used the smallest Stitched Shapes circle framelit & stamped the sentiment using the Waterfront stamp set. The piece of designer series paper is the Brights collection in Mango Melody.
Last night I came across an origami book, which gave me the inspiration for this next 3d project. It is a gorgeous Christmas decoration:
Here is a step through of how I did this:
I then created 6 of them to make this wonder star/snowflake decoration:
I punched holes into the middle of each of the decorations & a hole at the top which then becomes the middle of this star/snowflake. I thread solid baker twines through to join it together, I could've used glue, but I wanted it to be easier to put away so that it can be reused.
The final project I'm showing you is this card, using the Garden Impressions paper:
I used the Starburst circle punch to layer behind the stamped flower image which was using the Pop of Petals stamp set. I then used the Pretty Label punch at one end of the designer series paper which creates the lovely scalloped banner. I stamped 'Hello' using the Jars of Love stamp set & adhered a few of the metallic sequins.
Thanks for looking at all of the projects & hope to see you here soon.
Happy Stampin',
X Jessie B X
