January Scrapbook Sunday Blog Hop

Happy Sunday everyone, even if it is a bit wet & miserable here in the UK. It's great to see you here for another Blog Hop with an amazing group of people from all over the world. If you've come from Charlet's page it's great to see you, if you've started here then hit the next icon at the bottom of the page & you can see all 14 of the talented creations.

This month's theme was a colour challenge of Black, Coral & Green. Well the colours didn't stop me I picked out the ink pads Basic Black, Calypso Coral, Emerald Envy & Lemon Lime Twist (which is borderline green...hehe). I then picked out one of the lovely black designer series paper from the Petal Passion suite & then I drew a blank slightly. I was rummaging through all my photos & believe me I have tons - even with running & going to a monthly scrapbooking class!!

I had left my scrapbooking album at home so couldn't remember what I had already scrapped so that really frustrated me! I then stumbled across some pictures from an historic site we visited back in September, then it was just choosing which colours to mount on etc. That's enough of me waffling here is what I created:

It was fun to explore tunnels that are under the train station in my home town of Bristol, below is some close up shots which I will explain.

1) Is a close up of all the railway stations, some of them are no longer in use & some still are. Obviously we went on the train, so where the pearls are is the route we took from the top is Avonmouth - the bottom left one which is Bristol Temple Meads.
2) I used the Perfect Day Memories & More kit, which I totally forgot used the colours I had picked - was looking through the catalogue to give me inspiration & then had a lightbulb moment!! I pulled these cards out & used one of the Emerald Envy 3x4 cards for my journaling - using all the colours :)
3) One of the 4x6 Memories & More cards had this lovely Makes Me Smile sentiment so I got the 2" circle punch & layered that on some coral designer series paper from the Daisy Delight suite & punched it with the Starburst punch & raised the lovely sentiment up with dimensionals.

Thanks for popping by & I hope to see you again next month on 17th March.

If you've been hopping round then welcome, if you've started here then hello & remember to see what everyone else has created by clicking on the names below my post.  Here is this month's theme:  I really wanted to use some of the new papers I received this past week, so I found some photos that were from a Mexican evening out & new I could use the Brights Designer Series Paper Stack to go with the photos. So this is what I created:  I used the Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper for my backing paper, I then added some Call Me Clover card stock, Poppy Parade, Gorgeous Grape & Daffodil Delight Brights DSP & some Daffodil Delight Cardstock for the banner. Here is a close up of me getting this all ready:  With the banner I cut some scrap & using the stitched oval die I ran it through the big shot part w
