Can you Create

Hi There! Well I've hopefully scheduled this correctly. I'm taking part in the great monthly challenge called 'You can Create' hosted by Monica Gale & Teri Pocock here is there great logo: So what came in the post was some card stock & a piece of acetate!! This really got me thinking, I don't use acetate much so really wanted to incoporate it :) So I decided to make a lovely shaker card with a great stamp set that I recently purchased from the Spring/Summer catty. Here it is: I really like how this turned out, simple but effective with those great sequins. Here is a close up:   Here is just the shaker element with the balloons & sentiment: Thanks for stopping by to see what I created. x Jessie B x Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

So last Sunday was Mother's Day here in the UK, i had to make a couple & one of them used the Hand Stamped Sentiments  colour challenge: So this is what I came up with: I just made it very simple woth the summer silhouette's stamp set. I love thos stamp set... I haven't used it for a while so thought I would grab it from my collection. Here is a close up of the card:  Thanks for stopping by X Jessie B X  Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

Bokeh Silhouettes

When getting back to me Claire mentioned a couple that she liked the look of - so for the next 2 weeks there will hopefully be the challenges we are taking part in. So 1 here & 1 at Claire's . So here goes with the first challenge we are taking part in over at Paper Craft Crew : I decided to combine it with the colour challenge over at Fab Friday :  I have to say I found this very hard to do, trying to use 3 colours is a bit a challenge for me, I tend to mix a lot of colours together. So this is the card I created:  I decided to use the bokeh technique to create my background - this is

Vintage Lace

So I recently got my hands on the lovely background stamp set 'Something Lacy' & I thought I would have a play. So I found a great sketch challenge at Fab Friday , as well as a Mashup challenge over at  Friday Mashup! Here are the challenges: I decide to go with the Mashup & combine the vintage look with the embossed embossing technique. So this is what I came up with: Here is a close up: I went to my team mates class on the weekend & was inspired to do some shabby chic sort of cards, this isn't the sort of style I go for. I don't mind doing it at a class I'm attending, but I'm not drawn to doing this sort of card. So when I saw the Friday Mashup challenge & after attending the class & one of the cards she done reminded me of the challenge - I thought I better crack on. It's amazing how just using some scissors or a distressing tool can give the paper such a different look. Adding ink also to the embossed pa
