Birthday Blooms

Hey There! I thought I would pop in with a  great colour challenge that the Global Design Project are running. I really love these colours that they put together for this challenge. Bermuda Bay being my fave colour!! So this is the colours that the design team picked:

I thought I would do something a little different & do use the Birthday Blooms stamp set by using the neutral as the stems rather than a green! I really like changing colours for something a little different, here is what I created:

I then didn't have enough Early Espresso card stock when I was running my class so used the Tangelo Twist for the backing, here is how that came out:

I just coloured them in with blender pens & for the stems & leaves I did dark for the big leaves on the bloom stamp & then went in lighter with the other leaves & stems. I wanted to show that contrast of stems & leaves.

A little tip, I stamped the bloom image on a post it note twice as well as a single flower, which I then put over the stamped image to then stamp next to one another.

Thanks for popping in to see what I created, see you soon,

x Jessie B x

  1. Such great cards, Jess! I love how you've arranged these flowers with the orange ones popping up over the blue. Lovely. Thank you so much for playing along with this week's Global Design Project color challenge.

So this is what I created:  I used the Nature's Poem Designer Series Paper for my backing paper, I then added some Call Me Clover card stock, Poppy Parade, Gorgeous Grape & Daffodil Delight Brights DSP & some Daffodil Delight Cardstock for the banner. Here is a close up of me getting this all ready:  With the banner I cut some scrap & using the stitched oval die I ran it through the big shot part w
