Colourful Mother's Day

Hi there,

I loved the colours over at Fab Friday & knew I wanted to make a Mother's Day card. In the UK Mother's day is in March & this year it was on Sunday just gone (26th), it was a lovely sunny day too. Here are the colours that inspired me:

I had a class last week that focused on the 'Dragonfly Dreams' stamp set & I couldn't resist stamping that bumble bee - I co-ordinated it with the 'Birthday Blooms' stamp set as I wanted the bumble bee to be on a flower & this was just perfect, so here it is:

Rather than colouring all of the flower I decided to just have accents with stamping another image of the flower & then using the 1 1/2" & 1" punch, I then got a blender pen & used some ink from the ink pad - so great that you can make a pool of ink by pushing the ink pad to the lid of the ink & voila ink that can be used with a blender pen or aqua painter. A close up shot of the card:

Thanks every so much for stopping by & see you soon.

Happy stampin',

Here is a close up of me getting this all ready:  With the banner I cut some scrap & using the stitched oval die I ran it through the big shot part w
